Pete has a combined 25+ years of successful experience and performance in the Fortune 500 and Commercial real estate industries. Pete arrived in the commercial real estate industry after a successful 14 year management and leadership background in the Fortune 500 arena (Sara Lee Corporation and Avery Dennison Corporation) where he developed a global network in a variety of industries. Pete holds the distinguished CCIM designation, which is the highest commercial designation awarded in the field of commercial real estate and is based on significant closed commercial real estate transaction volume and rigorous educational requirements.
Pete's real estate background includes managing significant commercial portfolio's which include a variety of national and regional tenants with a variety of uses including office, retail and industrial. Pete focuses in commercial and investment real estate with an emphasis in land tract acquisition and disposition and multi-family, market analysis, feasibility and commercial appraisal practice. Having successfully owned and grown a full service brokerage and property management company made up of 25 brokers in southeastern, North Carolina, Pete came home to Charlotte and joined MECA Commercial Real Estate as a Senior Brokerage Associate. In addition to Pete reconnecting with his colleagues and network in the greater Charlotte region, Pete continues to maintain his long-standing relationships in southeastern, NC.
As a long time industry volunteer and industry advocate on legislative affairs, in 2012 Pete was awarded by his colleagues the REALTOR® of the Year award for the Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® and the President's Award for the NC-CCIM Chapter. Pete is Past President (2011) of the Brunswick County Association of REALTORS®, served as a member of the Association's Executive Committee for four years, and has served in various leadership capacities for the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®. Pete is currently serving as a Board of Director and is a member of the Executive Committee for the North Carolina Chapter of CCIM serving as Treasurer and has served as the Legislative Committee Chairperson for the Chapter. Pete is also serving as a Board of Director for Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of REALTORS® (CRCBR) and serves on the Boards Legislative Committee. Pete served three years as a Board of Director for the Wilmington Commercia Association (REALTORS® Commercial Alliance of Southeastern, NC) and served for four years as a Board of Director for NCAR and on the Executive Committee as Executive Vice President for Region 2.
