Thomas Loflin

Thomas Loflin is an Advisor at MECA Commercial, where he supports the Charlotte office with research, analysis, and client service initiatives. Originally from Boone, North Carolina, Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics with a minor in statistics from Elon University. His strong quantitative background provides a solid foundation for evaluating market trends, analyzing property performance, and approaching challenges with a data-driven mindset.

Prior to joining MECA Commercial, Thomas worked as a Project Manager and Diagnostician at DocAir, a building science firm, from 2024 to 2025. In that role, he developed hands-on experience in problem-solving, project coordination, and technical analysis. These skills have translated seamlessly into commercial real estate advisory. His ability to assess complex situations and execute with precision supports our team’s commitment to delivering thoughtful, strategic solutions for clients.

Thomas is drawn to commercial real estate because of its dynamic, relationship-driven nature. He enjoys learning about people and discovering meaningful ways to connect, while pairing that with his passion for real estate and eagerness to grow within the industry. He works best with clients who value data-backed insights and process-driven execution, bringing an analytical, responsive, and dedicated approach to every assignment.

Early in his career, Thomas is focused on continuous growth and development. He is motivated by the pursuit of knowledge and strives to never become complacent, seeking opportunities to expand his expertise each day while building a career in an industry he is passionate about.

Outside of work, Thomas has long been connected to real estate through his family’s involvement in developments in Boone, NC. He also spent part of his childhood living in the out-islands of the Bahamas, an experience that shaped his adaptability and appreciation for diverse environments and cultures.
