Katherine Pressley – “Kathy”, CPM

Kathy Pressley joined MECA in 2013 and now serves as the Director of Asset Management. She is responsible for multiple corporate real estate portfolios and Property Owner Associations, as well as various commercial properties across the Charlotte region. Additionally, her team manages a commercial OREO portfolio for a large National bank, overseeing properties from Michigan to Florida.

A Charlotte native, Kathy earned her B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University. She began her career as an Executive Recruiter at Bank of America before transitioning to the legal sector, where she worked as a legal assistant and paralegal focused on family law with several Charlotte area firms. Kathy’s transition to commercial real estate came easy as both professions are detail oriented and require interpersonal relationship skills.

Known for her responsiveness and reliability, Kathy is dedicated to providing the best service to her clients, tenants, and vendors. She played a pivotal role in developing an asset management platform for a portfolio exceeding $94 million in assets, enhancing financial reporting, property management, and website design and maintenance. Kathy is a North Carolina Broker-In-Charge and Certified Property Manager, and a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where she served as Treasurer from 2022-2023 and currently holds the position of President Elect.

Outside of work, Kathy enjoys spending time with her husband Robert and their five children, traveling, gardening, running, and learning to play golf.
