Rob Pressley is the President and CEO of MECA Commercial. A native of Charlotte, he graduated from East Carolina University and briefly pursued a career in the environmental industry. In 1993, he joined his family’s real estate business, becoming the third generation of Pressley’s to be affiliated with the company.
In addition to his oversight of the Company, Rob is highly active in the brokerage and development areas of the business. Over his career, he has completed thousands of transactions in land, investment, retail, office, and industrial real estate. His clients include banks, corporate entities, investors, developers, non-profits, and governmental entities. His disposition work with MECA’s National Lender clients has well exceeded $2 Billion in volume over the last 15 years.
As a developer, Rob has been involved in numerous land and mixed-use projects in the Charlotte region, notably contributing to the redevelopment of the South End neighborhood over the last two decades. Rob is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, and holds the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He is also a current or past member of ULI, CNU, ICSC, and the CCIM Institute.
As a volunteer, Rob has served as President of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR), where he has been an active member since its inception. He has also been involved with non-profit organizations including the Boy Scouts, Community School of the Arts, Charlotte Chamber, Metrolina Business Council, and Charlotte’s City Committee. Rob is a past recipient of Charlotte’s 40 Under 40 Award and a former member of the Belmont, NC Planning and Zoning Board. He currently serves as President of Belmont Trolley, Inc.
Rob’s extensive knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, his ability to foresee the future value in properties, and his deep-rooted relationships throughout the region have resulted in remarkable outcomes for his clients.
Rob and his wife Kathy live in Charlotte with their five children. They enjoy golf, hiking, travel, and spending time at the coast of South Carolina.
